"Ladies and Gentlemen Boys & Girls and Children of all Ages" We are planning an Average Joe Party to celebrate our
The celebration will be held in Dearborn MI during the month of May We will announce the One Thousandth Member as well as the Location, Date and Time of the party so - Stay Tuned
Over the past year we have laughed together and some of us have even shared tears together. We have been up and we have been down. We have made new friends and we said goodbye to others. As a private membership based group you have answered the call for financial help to improve our club house. You have watched and participated as our group has grown and our site has expanded and improved vastly. We have brought information to many and brought injustices to light. We have inspired unity and a sense of belonging to a space that was vacant in Detroit and throughout the system. We the members stand for honesty, integrity, hard work, fellowship and each other. We have made a direct impact on how our work group communicates and that is something we should all be proud of. We are one of the largest voting blocks within our work group and again that is something to be proud of as we vote and know what we are voting for. The photos on either side are a testament of time and hard work. The front page collection represents a little over a year of Average Joe. For those of you that have been around since the beginning you know they represent milestone achievements for our group. In the beginning we used the front page art as a salute to the average person and we hailed photos of those we thought worthy. Then we decided to utilize the area for satire or political statements about our union and its antagonists. All of this has been a work in progress and I'm very proud to be a part of your lives as you have become a huge part of my daily life. I am proud to be associated with every one of you and I am proud of your conviction, and determined attitude for positive change. They have called us a "Rogue" web site - They say we are "bad" If bringing injustice to light is bad and if encouraging change is out of line and if caring about our workplace family is out of line then, I am a bad man - wait No, no I'm not a bad man. I'm an Average Joe and I can hold my head up and look people in the eye when I tell them who I am as its something all of us can be proud of. We are all "Average Joes" with one voice shouting loud & unified something our leaders have not been able to do. Perhaps one of us could teach them. ![]() -Joe |
